Intellego Technologies receives notice of allowance from USPTO for its app system.
Intellego Technologies has today received a notice of allowance from the USPTO, the patent agency in the US, for its app system. The new patent introduces an app system designed to quantify colour changes in colourimetric UV dosimeters, significantly advancing UV radiation monitoring.
At the centre of this patented technology is an intuitive application system integrated within everyday portable devices, such as smartphones. This approach makes UV radiation monitoring accessible and straightforward, leveraging the widespread presence of mobile technology to offer a sophisticated yet user-friendly solution.
The system operates by utilising the image-capturing capabilities of a standard cell phone to acquire an image of a dosimeter exposed to UV radiation. Through advanced image processing techniques, the app then quantitatively indicates the amount of UV light the dosimeter has received.
This quantitative analysis is a critical step forward in UV monitoring, offering precise measurements that were previously challenging to obtain.
One of the key aspects of Intellego Technologies’ patent is its practical applications. The app’s quantitative output can initiate a range of actions, particularly in settings where precise UV dosage is critical. For example, in medical environments, the app can adjust the dose of UVC irradiation used for sterilization processes, ensuring optimal effectiveness while minimizing risks. Similarly, in the curing industry, where UV light is used to cure adhesives, pigments, and more, this technology can fine-tune the irradiation process for improved outcomes.
The app system will open up several new business opportunities for Intellego as the app can be sold e.g. as a SaaS solution, this approach has been met with enthusiasm in the market confirming its appeal and viability. Furthermore, the app enables a completely new quality assurance process as each picture and exposure data can be stored and followed up on several years later. This data can furthermore be connected to AI which makes it possible to predict hospital-acquired infections within healthcare while in curing it can predict production stops and maintenance well ahead of what is happening today. All of this will enhance the production economy for users and enable more sustainable production.
Intellego Technologies’ commitment to innovation is evident in developing this patented app system. By integrating advanced UV monitoring capabilities into the convenience of a mobile app, Intellego Technologies is not only making UV radiation measurement more accessible but also significantly enhancing the safety and efficiency of industries relying on UV technology. This patent marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to provide cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving needs of its clients and the broader industry.
